I fricking hate colds. Bloody things mess around with my nose and cause me to rub it nearly off! I might as well cover my resident sniffer with chapstick and call it a day ( I've heard that actually works. As a kid I had always wondered if it did...). That's not what this post is about, but I just needed something to complain about as per the usual.

Some of you have probably wondered why sometimes I choose to reply to your posts under the pseudonym " Pino". Like, we all probably know why I comment under Oliver ( My unhealthy obsession with Oliver from Ni No Kuni.), but why Pino? What, am I a Pinocchio fan or something? That's a very keen observation, considering there's a game I adore that takes the basic idea for Pinocchio called Wonder Project J. Wonder Project is an SNES-based Life Simulator where you have to teach this Gijin ( the game's name for the robots that inhabit Corlo Island, where the game takes place.) child what it is to be human. However, in the words of TV Tropes: "But then the boy starts kicking your dog, eating plates of food whole, and worshiping gardening tools." It's both frustrating and funny at the same time, and they get you really attached to the little guy ( Whose default name is Pino, but you can name him anything you want, even 'asshole' or 'Jerk' if you so desire.). Also, you might like that you're dealing with this:

I dunno about you, but Pino's cute as heck.
... Yeah. But fear not, as if you pay close enough attention to what stats rise and fall, it's not really that difficult. Did I forget to say that Pino acts on his own free will? Because he does, which is AMAZING!

My nose is still really runny and I suck at explaining how great this game is so here's a review I found extremely entertaining.

Although the game was never released here in English, there is a very professional translation out there somewhere ( Which I have on my PSP because I can.). You'll have to look for it yourself, though, because it would be mean to the creators of the game to link you to it.

  P.S. Pino's adorable. I mean, look!

I am... in love...

I'm pretty sure about that.

That aside, I have to write about what has happened 'Inside school walls' lately against my will. Geez, again with the off-topic. What transpired as of late has been pretty boring, but I'll focus on Romeo and Juliet since that's what we're doing like, right after this. Enjoy.

SO, Romeo and Juliet... an embarrassing play I had to take part in in about sixth grade, and still have to do to this day, hooray. However, now that I understand most of the crude jokes so far, I'm wondering if any teacher in sixth grade actually looked at the original content. Who ever heard of a play that starts out with two people talking about their... junk? Although I'm sure it was a more kid-friendly version, geez. Also, did people actually kiss on the first meeting back then because if so, [redacted]! What if kids these days did that too? Can you imagine first graders having already kissed a 'girlfriend' on the first day? That's actually kind of sick ( Bleh sick not cool sick) as I'm sure it has happened before.

The play's kind of absurd so far, as every time you turn around someone's making another virgin or penis joke; though I guess it's not that different from today, really. If you substitute virgin joke with a 'yo mama' style joke and penis with more penis it would be pretty close to what's happening today ( excuse my vulgarity but hey, why should we have to watch my language when writing my own personal thoughts? Am I going to lose job opportunities for putting down my deepest thoughts? Why sugar-coat things?).

Really, I guess Romeo and Juliet is kind of exactly what's going on right now, just without thirteen-year-olds getting married to fifteeners. I wonder what Shakespeare thought the world would be like in 2012? I doubt the thought crossed his mind, though.

SO, how many vaguely phallic jokes are YOU going to make today?

ha

I got over 100 views on the 30th! You guys are amazing!

Thank you for actually leaving comments, haha. It gives me a lot of motivation to hear from you guys! All of you deserve a party hat. Yes, a party hat. Never thought it would get this popular.

That aside, this is a moan about lunch. I forgot my lunch; tragic, I know. Just means I have more to eat tomorrow, however. I'm not even that hungry!

Okay, okay, that's not entirely the reason for writing this, the real reason ( no resin) I am writing is because of book club. You know those people that tend to read like a snail when it's not a book they really care about? Yeah? I'm not really that interested in mine, to be honest with you ( I was, however, quite interested with Cue For Treason last year; couldn't put it down, finished it in one night.). Too much describing! Also, we got our books late, so it was impossible to read to chapter 16. Sixteen is a very unrealistic number, don't you think? I'm almost sixteen; but that's not the point. The point is is that the book is too slowly paced for me. Then again, though, I picked up a bunch of library books earlier last week and haven't picked them up since because I was too busy drawing and crying over videogame characters... my life, everyone.

Okay, conclusion. Bye everyone! Don't forget your lunch! If you have, though, I feel for you, man. I really do.

Frightening! Anyway, hello there! How long's it been since I last posted? A day? A week? I forget now... hah...

That aside, I am positively elated! Why, you ask ( Or possibly don't, sorry)? It is because I just secured the chances of me getting a PS3 for graduation to eleventh! How cool is that? I love my dad. The reason why I would want a system such as that is because a year ago or so, a game came out that I had previously heard about as looking 'kinda like Mother 3/Earthbound'; except that was the ROID version of the game, and the PS3 is not whatever that is, that's for sure. I don't even remember whether or not the ROID thing came off that well because I haven't heard a word of it since then, and every time I look it up I get steroids instead. Anyway, this is a picture of it from a while back when it was still in development:
Look vaguely familiar to some of you?
I'm sure a bunch of you would know what game I'm talking about if I said the name, but maybe you already know, because 'PS3' definitely narrows it down, doesn't it?

It's... (drumroll) ... (drum).... (roll)... (Okay I'll stop)...

  ---Ni No Kuni! Hooraaaay!

I bet a bunch of you are slapping your knees all like, 'I KNEW it!' or something. I am in love with a classic-style JRPG; don't see that every day, do ya? (laugh)

Anyway, as you all do not know, I have looked far and wide for good RPGs to play, and NNK is the closest I'll ever get to my ideal RPG: Good storyline, fantastic battle system, great music ( done by Joe Hisaishi, might I add.) , Studio Ghibli, Level 5 ( if any of you have played Professor Layton, you know them.), 349 page grimoire full of lore, a bestiary, old language, and spells; an entire sprawling overworld, great CG backgrounds, and MONSTER CATCHING!!! It's my dream come true!! I mean, lookit this!
That's absolutely sensational! All that detail in one shot, and in 3D! The characters are pretty cute too ( That's also part of the reason I want the game, of course; can't forget the adorable 13-year-old boys and fairies... eheh... oh lordy I sound like a creep...)! It's also got sort of a dark undertone, from what I've seen ( animals swallowing swords and armor for stat boosts, anyone? Sorry for so many bracket comments...), so it's all pretty great.

There's also a DS version of the game, which this is actually a remake of, but there were problems translating the double-screen wonder, so it's only in Japanese so I can't really play it.... I have tried though, using a PDF of the magic book and a ROM file, but still no dice. I like the PS3 version better anyway, despite all the beautiful drawn backgrounds in the DS version... sob...

Can't wait to catch 'em all in Ni No Kuni this summer!

See what I did there? Civic Mirror? (laugh) Anyway, we just had a practice run of this thing. It's a program that simulates a country where everyone apparently has seven members in their fictitious family living under the same roof ( What time period is this in?)? It can either be utter chaos or a wannabe Utopia, depending on how you plan it. Like life, except you're taking care of 7 other people and crying about how only one person having all the Energy and you're all going to die. Yeah, juuuuuust like life.

So, we're supposed to answer some questions, so here we go, questions.

Q1. What did you learn during the practice run?

Tough question. What did I learn...? You might want to ask a person who didn't own part of the City Hall and thus had like, all the luxuries; plus a house and an apartment. It would have been great had I not been too slow to get energy ( actually, didn't get any). I learned that some people are jerks, a la giving their friends most of everything. However, I also learned that if you point out people's mistakes in the trade section they are very likely to fix it. Weird. People also can't live without having powered houses too, apparently. You know, despite all the people who live with no energy and still survive in small shacks and stuff.

Q2. Has it made you think about social or governement issues?

Not really; but maybe when the actual not-practice run starts that'll change? We just don't know. All it reminded me of was my terrible anxiety when asking people for things, afraid they'll turn me down and get angry at me for even asking.

Q3. How should good(s) be distributed?

I'd distribute goods to the people who need them the most first, and those who already have it can just suck it I mean-- just deal with what they've got. Once the goods in question are back in, then they can have more.

  Don't be greedy.

Q4.  Do we need a government to help keep people organized?

Hah, pretty much. Without some kind of power figure like government, worst case scenario we'd have people killing other people and/or stealing everything in sight. There'd be nothing left for A N Y B O D Y.

Crap I just realized this is supposed to go in my Civics section. Oh well, it'll go up there as well. Double post!

Weebly wasn't even loading while I'm writing this, it's just got that circle thingy going for it; I'm actually writing this is ZenPen. Great program; so minimalist.

So we have to write our quote-on-quote 'bestest' blog post, what that means is I have to pound noisily on the keyboard to produce some words that look good together and string them into a few paragraphs, I hope; I originally assumed all I had to do what pick my best post and post it somewhere or something. Weebly is still loading. Anyway, this time I actually have an idea of what to write about, something that is best in a way, I guess.

A few weeks ago, I created a character (hint, he's in my Weebly arts section and has lots of blue); that character was going to be used in a right-now-nameless story in which he is the main character. So, I finished the first chapter yesterday, and sent it to a friend of mine who said she'd like to look at it. She said it was great and that I should write more, something I hope was not just her being nice. Anyway, I want to continue it because I so rarely do that with stories I write ( coughstoryintheenglishsectioncough), and I'm actually really into this character, whom I spent a LOT of time on; perhaps one of my favourites. I even made a google presentation because another friend wanted me to give her an overview of what this character was like ( and to make me elaborate on him)! Both my friends are very good with motivation as the latter friend got me to write the story in the first place with setting goals, and the former with cheering me on. Okay. What a large paragraph.

However, let me just tell you this right now: coming up with characters is HARD; You can spend days or even weeks either not coming up with anything or at the very least coming up with very little. I had already finalizing a lot of his looks, and I was superbly stuck before asking my friend for help on personality and special features ( The same friend who told me to make the PowerPoint which helped me out with that; thanks!). Darn characteristics; for some people it's easy, and for some, not so much. Ask for help if you're stuck on something, okay, kids?

Anyway, I need to stop writing as the time's almost up; yay

Picture
This is a relatively different character design I had for him before I changed to vest and a regular monocle. Maybe I shouldn't have changed that monocle...?

Okay so I actually have no idea what to write but whatever (laugh).

I am eating cookies in class; screw the rules ( I've been eating in class for the entire semester so far because Mrs. Wood doesn't get mad at me for it.) And now I'm attempting to peel a giant orange. Crazy.

Apples just weren't good enough today ( that would be funnier if I could actually say that to your faces.). Except I'd rather choke on apple slices than orange ones.

Anyway, yesterday, I watched the movie this beautiful island is from with my father:
Laputa: Castle In The Sky, one of my absolute favourite movies. Nothing beats the great idea of a giant island in the sky, with over a hundred years of ancient Laputan history! Oh, how I wish it were real... This movie is one of the greater parts of my early childhood, watching it with parents, cousins, friends... starting up my love of all things related to the sky and flying (along with Kiki's Delivery Service, another great one!). Anyway, my dad liked it too, it seems.

Last night, I became very interested in the supposed 'Laputan Language' on the monument in this shot:
Picture
The movie is absolutely filled to the brim with great painted backgrounds!
Look at that! Don't the etchings look like they would make for really neat of a language? So, it inspired me to write up my own characters ( sorta, it's still like Skyward Sword Hylian; different characters for the same English alphabet.), 'cause I couldn't even find a fan-made script for Laputan! It was really fun to make my own, though! Now I just need to memorize it!

Orange juice is squirting outta my mouth on accident now, so it's time I stopped. Bye!
Picture
one of my favourites of the scenery art.
Also, I hate oranges. Don't ask why I'd eat them if I hate them.

I finally found a use for those link buttons on this thing! They all link to the same thing so do not fret, my friends ( and possibly not, I mean, the internet is accessible to everyone, including people who don't know me ( If you don't you should get to know my perfect self))!
It's really cheesy.

Do you ever hear the squeaking of balloons against each other and just, cringe??? It's such an awful sound! Like when you touch a towel or another type of fabric while your hands are really dry and chalky, and it sends shivers up and down your back because you touched it and UGH IT'S SO TERRIBLE!! Why, hands, why‽‽‽‽

Y'know, a while back I was looking up how to cope with people who chew their gum really loud, and I learned it's directly linked to a thing called Misophonia. Misophonia is when you can't stand a certain noise and almost go entirely berserk when you hear it, usually it's the sound of people chewing. It's actually really common; my brother has it, I have it, my sister has it, and I'm sure my dad and mom do to some degree as well.

I decided to write about that because there's this person right in front of me who is whispering and I had to turn on some music to drown them out because it was actually angering me. I'm annoyed by my own whispering too, though for a different reason ( I'm like a megaphone, it's impossible for me to whisper nicely.). As for the gum chewing, I asked my teacher to be seated elsewhere because I would probably go crazy if I had to listen to the person chew all day and watch their jaw sort of almost unhinge in the corner of my eye because apparently they had no control over it. Ugh, they should make a no gum chewing policy in the school. Or whispering.

It's bring all glitchy (again!)!

Anyway, it's a 20-minute independent thing about a choosable topic. I don't really know what to write...

You know what? Here. As much as I love grapes, I hate, hate, hate, HATE when a piece of the stem gets stuck into the beautiful, crisp, round fruit! I'm eating some right now, and I can't count how many times the stem has broken off into the grape goodness. It's easy to take care of, but it's so annoying sometimes.

Grapes, why hath thou forsaken me??? ( I just finished my last one oops)

P.S. I actually really love grapes.

P.P.S. I'm just doing this to fill up time.

P.P.P.S. This is very Andy Griffiths style.

P.P.P.P.S. I'm wondering now if this would be the new 'I Like Round Things' my teacher talked about once?

P.P.P.P.P.S. With a keen eye for grapes one fruit will prevail.

P.P.P.P.P.P.S. I should not be laughing as hard as I am at that last one.

P.P.p.P.P.P.P.S. Will the teacher even see this?

  1.   Should I consider this a long or a short post?
  2.   I'm longingly staring at the cookies in my lunchbag but I'll wait till second block
  3.   Thanks for the bullets, Weebly ( I guess you aren't such a screwup after all!)
  4. I have more art to post today (hooray)
  • What?
  • The grass on this blog layout looks like it was done in photoshop. Thanks, Weebly
  • I have seven minutes left
  • I'm actually really upset because I lost a freeby by accidentally leaving my project in my bag instead of in my binder
  • Do you ever just wonder about IBS
  • 4 minutes

  2. does ANYONE look at these?
  3. I wish I could be like that girl who goes to school late just to post the late slips on her wall

My favourite book/show, everyone
I can't read the timer anymore because it's too dark ( Not like I could see it clearly anyway hahahahahaha poor eyesight).

I need to go see the Optometrists again.
